You’ve been making all the decisions all day.. It’s time to relax.
We’ve been in the gym game since 2012.
Looking back, the most successful era of my own training was in those early days, when we all trained together. Coaches, mates, all pushing each other through hard workouts.
We were pretty naive, but we trained hard and had a laugh doing it.
As soon as jobs changed and focus shifted, that little group drifted.
Was it enjoyable? Definitely.
Did I look forward to every session? Absolutely not. But I showed up.
And we got seriously fit.
Then came the next phase.
I wasn’t chasing performance anymore, I was just trying to get back to where I was when I trained with a group. But I tried doing it on my own.
I’d spend hours writing the perfect plan.
I’d walk into a packed gym.
Half the equipment I needed wasn’t available… So guess what?
I didn’t train.
Sound familiar?
That cycle of good intentions and no follow-through is where Function Fitness 2.0 was born.
I’m saving you 8 years of trial and error, aimless workouts, and wasted time wondering what to do next.
If you’ve ever thought,
“Why can’t I just stay consistent?” It’s easy to blame motivation.
But the truth is, that’s not the real issue.
It’s decision fatigue.
It’s the idea that the more decisions you make during the day, the worse your decisions get.
Work deadlines. Family logistics. What to cook for dinner.
All of it slowly drains your mental battery.
So when it gets to the point where you ask,
“Should I train today?” your brain takes the path of least resistance: Skip it. Try again tomorrow.
That’s not laziness, that’s biology.
If you’re relying on yourself to decide; When to train, What to do, How to do it, Whether it’s “worth it” today…you’re setting yourself up to fail.
Even the most disciplined people fall off when life gets busy.
And when you skip one session, it’s easy to skip another. That’s how progress stalls.
Coach-led training takes decision fatigue off the table.
Your plan? Already written.
What to do? Already explained.
Accountability? Already in place. Someone’s expecting you to turn up.
Progress? Already tracked.
You don’t have to overthink or second-guess.
All you have to do is show up.
That’s what creates consistency and that’s how you actually get results.
You don’t need more motivation — You need less friction.
At Function Fitness, we’ve built a system that removes the guesswork and gives you structure, support, and a coach who actually cares.
Because when the decisions are made for you, and someone’s holding you to it,
you don’t need to “feel motivated.” You just need to show up.
Fewer decisions. More consistency. Better results.
