Head Coach
Steve is Head Coach at Function Fitness. He found coaching after changing careers and knew straight away it was what he wanted to do. He keeps things simple, values clear progress, and believes the real magic comes from the community around the training. That’s what makes this place different, and why he shows up ready to coach every day
When he’s not coaching, Stephen trains a lot! He gets what it’s like to balance running, cycling, swimming, resistant training with the realities of injuries and rest. He also owns a kelpie who keeps him moving even on recovery days.
For Steve, this was never just a side hustle. Coaching was the goal from the start. He’s most motivated by doing good work and constantly learning through courses and experience. He's not interested in what the latest influencer is selling. He believes simple, consistent training is what gets people real results.
Steve enjoys coaching people who want to learn. His focus is on helping members build skill, move well, and actually enjoy their sessions. It’s not just about the outcome, it’s about making the process something people want to stick with.
